#24-Island States at Risk (1997) [Leatherman]
-Small Island Developing States are low-lying coastal countries that are under continual risk from shoreline degradation. Whether from natural storm disasters, or from development from an ever-growing population, these island states face many challenges while trying to sustain their fragile environments. Dr. Steve Leatherman, who has served as the Director of the International Hurricane Research Center and as the Director for the Laboratory of Coastal Research at Florida International University, has compiled a remarkable volume of articles as the editor of this JCR Special Issue.
