#7-Rational Design of Mound Structures (1990) [Kobayashi & Losada]

alt

-This JCR Special Issue takes a rational look at the design of artificial embankments or ridges composed of a combination of sand, gravel, and cobbles. Special attention is paid to the quality, condition, and shape of the design's rubble, as to relates to a function of the mound's top elevation, the bottom configuration of the riprap, and the tidal range surrounding the mound. Dr. Nobuhisa Kobayashi, Associate Director of the Center for Applied Coastal Research at the University of Delaware, served as one of the principal editors for this addition to the JCR.
